We attended a Town Hall meeting featuring Representative Gresham Barrett (Gubernatorial candidate) and Paul Corbeil (Oconee County Council candidate). Both delivered solid messages focusing on jobs and the economy.

Anderson, S.C.
Small businesses are a primary focus of my campaign. We visited Anderson's Main Street as well as other local businesses.

Easley, S.C.
We officially kicked off our massive door-to-door campaign. Day #1. It has been said that it is impossible to reach the requisite number of voters and that it is not the best move politically to go door-to-door. Our democracy is in a sad state if that is the case. Our campaign will seek to prove otherwise.

I visited Laurens and Gray Court, S.C. Laurens was named after Henry Laurens, who was president of the Continental Congress during the Revolutionary War. I enjoyed lunch at the Historic Capitol Theater and Cafe. Originally opened in 1926, Ronnie and Debbie Campbell reopened in 2004 and ran "Spiderman" in 2007.

I visited the "The Electric City." Anderson was the first city in the United States to have a continuous supply of electric power.

Easley, S.C.
I attended the Big League World Series. S.C. District 1 defeated the Southeast team. This is the 9th year Easley has hosted the BLWS. I had the pleasure of meeting the newly crowned Miss South Carolina, Miss Kelly Sloan.

I visited the "City of Smiles, City of Style." Originally settled by Cherokee and chartered in 1874. Oconee Nuclear Station is located on Lake Keowee.

Liberty, S.C.
I attended the finals of Liberty Idol. Congratulations Amanda Cowan.

I attended Pickens County Republicans' 2nd Saturday Breakfast. Ken Ard, candidate for Lt. Governor, was the speaker. I stand with Ken on the issues we should focus on - the economy, small businesses, and jobs.

I formally announced my candidacy for the Third Congressional District in front of Michael's Pizzeria on Main Street of Easley. I could not think of a better day to announce than at a celebration of our country's founding. I thank Michael's Pizzeria and I hope it conveyed what my focus will be in my campaign - responsible spending, supporting small businesses, and encouraging job creation.
